[Groups: Settings](https://help.churchteams.com/knowledge/groups?hsLang=en#groups-settings) # Can I mass update Group Categories and Group information for multiple groups? ## Selecting multiple groups and mass updating Categories and Group Information. **Mass Editing Group Profile Categories:**  Assigning categories to a group is the final step in creating a group.  In addition, you can mass assign group categories for several groups at once. Group Categories are used to create a Profile for each of the groups in your Churchteams account.  These Profiles allow you to quickly and easily find or report group information for subsets of groups. 1. To edit Group Categories for more than one group, go to **Groups & Events \> Browse. ** 2. From the Browse Groups page, select the groups for which you want to edit Categories by checking the box to the left of the group name.  3. Next, use the Action button (this button turns green once you begin selecting groups) click "Update Profile Categories." Click the Confirm button to continue.  4. Update the Category you wish and click Save. Note that the categories you edit will apply to all the selected groups simultaneously.  **Mass Editing Group Information for more than one group**: Group Information, such as the Description, Meeting Date, or Location, is set up in the first step of the group creation process.  You can, however, edit information for multiple groups at once, for instance, if you have a handful of groups that are changing the meeting location or time.   1. To edit Group Information for more than one group, go to Groups & Events \> Browse. 2. From the Browse Groups page, select the groups for which you want ot edit the same Group Information by checking the box to the left of the group name. 3. Next, use the Action button (this button turns green once you begin selecting groups), and click Update Group Information.  Click the Confirm button to continue. 4. Edit the information that needs to be changed for all the selected groups.  Note that the information you edit will apply to all the selected groups simultaneously.  5.
