Changing a font size or style on name tags.
Changing a font size or style on name tags.
Before changing the Check-In Code: we recommend copying and pasting the original code somewhere else (ex: Google Doc) first, in case you need to revert back to it or refer to it later after making changes.
To change the font size or style on the name tags for check-in, go to Check-in > Views/Settings and click on the name of the Check-In View you want to edit. Expand Section B, and under "B6 Label Stylesheet," you'll see code. Anytime there is code that looks like: "font-size:#em", this will edit font, and other code such as "font-weight, font-family, padding, margin" will edit the style. You are able to edit this information for the Child Label, Parent Label, and Name Tags.
The specific fields where the font can be edited are as follows:
-
Child Security Label: Child Label First name, Child Label Last Name, Child Label Custom Attribute, Other Child Information, Child Security Code
-
Parent Label: Parent Label (Title), Parent Security Code, Parent Label Parents Names
-
Name Tags: Name Tag First Name, Name Tag Last Name, Name Tag Group Name
Other Tips:
1. Don't change too much at once. We recommend changing one thing at a time and then testing it to make sure you like the update, and so that it's easier to go back and fix if you want it to return to how it was originally.
2. Make sure to look at the top line of that paragraph of code to understand what is is you're updating. For example:
/* Child security code size */
span.childsecuritycode {
font-weight:bold;
font-size:1.3em;
font-family:Arial,Verdana,"Comic Sans MS";
}
This is editing the Child Security Code.
3. When updating the font size, update in small incredments (ex: 1.3 to 1.5em), always keeping "em" at the end and testing to see how it looks when you go to print.
