How do I setup event registrations to automatically post and drop off our Website, App, and Text-to-Church lists? 

First, add Event & Registration Start Dates to your registration settings. Then, use the Upcoming Events URL on your website and social media.  The same events will automatically show up in the App, and when someone texts EVENTS to your number. 

Here are the details for ensuring all your upcoming events show up properly on your website, social media, app, and via keyword text. 

Keeping in mind that Events begin as Groups, with added registration settings, go to the Group, then click Registration > Settings.  On that page:  .  Regissettingsdates

  1. Set the Event Start Date for the actual day of the event (this must be today or any future date).
  2. Set the Registration Start Date for the date you want people to begin registering.   This is the first date the event will be shown on your list of upcoming events.  An event must have BOTH the Event & Registration Start Dates to be visible.
  3. Set the Registration End Date for the date you want registration to close.  When this date is reached or the "Maximum Size / Registration Limit" is reached, the event will marked with a red button as "Registration Closed / Details."

  4. If desired, use the Event full/closed notification text box on the Registration Settings page  to give further instructions or link to an overflow group.  In our example below, we are using a link to a Facebook page about the event.

The event will stay on your listing through the end of the date of the event.  After that, it will drop off automatically from all three environments -- (1) website link/embed code, (2) the Events section of the App, and (3) the listing returned when texting EVENTS to your Text-to-Church number.

 

URL/Embed Code for displaying Upcoming Events

Navigate, from the main menu to Communicate > Website Navigation to find the Upcoming Events section.  Copy the link or embed code and put it on your website and/or social media posts.  This will serve as the Events Calendar for your website and match the list of Events in the App and when texting the Keyword EVENTS using Text-to-Church.
